**Shaping our children for the future**

Home

We provide full and part time childcare for children ages 2yrs - 6yrs. Pre-School services include care during the hours of 7am - 6pm, Monday through Friday.  Breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack is included. Our pre-school program's curriculum follows an emergent curriculum which incorporates learning through various curricular areas such as language development, reading, phonics, science, mathematics, social studies, enrichment studies, and acquisition of second languages.

Our center also offers Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) for students who are eligible to participate in this Board of Education sponsored program.  The UPK program provides early childhood education to four year old students.  Students learn through a observation and manipulation, acquisition through free play, activity learning centers, and other student-centered learning activities.  This teaching methodology enhances children's learning capabilities .  There is a reduction in tuition for all participants. (Spaces are limited for this program, so please register early if your child is eligible for this program.)

Eligibility Requirements:  Children who are entering into their pre-kindergarten year and turning 4 years old before December 31st, are eligible to participate in the UPK program.

Our center is dedicated to providing an enriched educational environment to stimulate and encourage your child's academic achievement.  Creative daily assignments, assistance in the development of sound study habits, help with homework completion, library programs, educational games, club programs and computer tutorials are offered.  The program  runs from 3:00pm - 6:30pm during the academic school year; however, service is also available on special days and weeks during the academic year when the public schools are closed for half days, full days, and school breaks.

Our after school program picks up children from our nearby public schools, P.S. 135 & P.S. 235.  All other students are bussed in from their respective public and private schools.   If your child's public school does not provide bussing for your child, and you are in need of a private transportation company, contact our office and we will be more than happy  to refer some transportation companies to you.

  • Summer Camp

Weekly Trips

Each week we expose our campers to various places of interest throughout our city.  Places which are important for their intellectual development as a person, as well as their development as a child.  These excursions enable our campers to see, learn and experience new places for themselves.  Children between the ages of 7 and 13 will go on trips three times per week, and children between the ages of 3 and 6, two times per week.  See tentative trip schedule.

Swimming Program

Our seven week intensive swimming program for campers ages 7 through 13 has proven to be very successful over the past summers.  Twice per week for an hour they have instructed swimming lessons by certified swimming instructors and lifeguards at the YMCA.

Indoor Activities

On the two or three days per week when campers are in-house, children will work on various indoor and club activities.  Some indoor activities include drama, cooking, baking, talent shows, computer instruction, arts and crafts, needle work, and local community outings: library, neighborhood park, fire station, etc.  Club activities may include: dance, baseball, double-dutch, creative arts, karate, basketball, soccer, sewing, etc. . . The list of offered clubs for this summer session will be available the evening of camp orientation.  Also, there is always revision of math and reading skills on in-house camp days as well as activities that promote a higher order of thinking.  Just because we are having tons of fun, does not mean the learning process to end.  However, in addition to all of the above, there's still more.

Along with all of the above activities, we still have our two out of town trips to Sesame Place and Dorney Park.  We also have our theme days: Sport’s day, and our End of Camp Carnival.  These are events you surely cannot miss!
